To prevent organism growth it is necessary to regularly clean your humidifier, hose, and mask.
The mask silicone seal should be wiped daily with either a CPAP wipe or a cloth with warm soapy water (tap water with a small amount of gentle dish soap), this is necessary to remove oils, sweat and skin cells from the mask.
Empty any leftover water from humidifier daily, and fill with fresh distilled water. To prevent the build-up of mineral deposits in your humidifier please use only distilled water.
Wash your humidifier chamber, mask with headgear, and hose in warm soapy water, rinse off, and let air dry.
The CPAP machine enclosure should only be cleaned using a mild soapy solution applied with a moistened cloth. Unplug the unit before cleaning it. Wipe dry. Allow equipment to dry thoroughly before use.
The filter in the back of your CPAP machine should be replaced every 1-3 months. Check to make sure it is clean.
